NYSC Requirements For Foreign-Trained Graduates

These are the requirements for registration of foreign- trained Nigerian graduates wishing to participate in National Youth Service Corps:

1. The Original Copies of the following
academic qualifications are required for registration and mobilization of Nigerian Foreign Graduates into the National Youth Service Corps; viz:

i. First University Degree or HND Certificate
ii. Complete official Transcript of the First Degree or HND Course.
iii. Marks Sheets (for Indian Universities only),
iv. O’level Certificate i.e WAEC, GCE, SSCE, NECO, IGCE, GCSE, High School Diploma for those who schooled in USA e.t.c.
Candidate must obtain credit in not less than 5 subjects (including English and Mathematics) in not more than 2 sittings. (please note that downloaded Certificates, Transcripts, statement of result and Attestation Letter are not acceptable);
v. Medical Doctors and Optometrists are required to produce in addition, Evidence of completion of Houseman-ship, Full Registration Certificate with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria/ Optometrists Association of Nigeria, as applicable.
vi. Pharmacists shall produce in addition, Evidence of completion of Internship and the registration certificate with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.(Please note that receipts for payments are not acceptable in lieu of the registration certificate).

2. Nigerian International Passport showing clearly;
i. Entry Visa to Country of Study.
ii.Date of First departure from Nigeria.
iii. Personal Data page of the passport.
iv. Graduate with dual Nationality are
required to upload and produce, for
verification at the Orientation Camp, both International Passports.
v. Graduates of Universities Within ECOWAS States and Cameroun are to upload and produce Residence Permit for the period of their study.

3. Loss Of International Passport
In the event of loss of International
Passport, prospective Corps Members are required to present;
i. Police and Immigration reports from the country where the International Passport was lost.
ii. Sworn Affidavit (with the Number of the lost of International Passport).
iii. Evidence of stay in country of study.
iv. The Prospective Corps Member must obtain a New/Current Nigerian
International Passport and upload the
personal Data Page.
v. Information contained in the lost
International Passport and the new one obtained must be the same.

4. For Loss Of Academic Credentials the following are required;
i. Police Report
ii. Sworn Affidavit
iii. Confirmation of result from either the examination body (for loss of ‘O’ Level Certificate) or the institution of
graduation (for loss of Degree, HND
Certificate, as the case may be).

5. Certificates and other credentials which are not written in English Language should be translated at the Embassy of the country of study or a University in Nigeria where the
language is studied, before uploading and presentation for Verification at the Orientation Camp.

6. Special Note:
i. Registration For 2015 Batch ‘A’
mobilization commences on Monday
2nd March to Saturday 4th April, 2015.
ii. All inconsistencies in names on
different credentials must be
supported with sworn Court Affidavit
and uploaded before Verification
period .
iii. Verification of all credentials will take place at the Orientation Camp.

All prospective corps members must
therefore report to the Orientation Camp of their State of deployment for
Physical Verification with Original
Copies of all documents uploaded.
International passport inclusive.

The scholarship will cover the UK/EU “home” rate of tuition fee of up to £8,100.

Eligibility:
The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is accepted for admission onto an eligible Global Health Academy programme at the University of Edinburgh commencing in 2015-2016.

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.

Australian National University Scholarships 2015

The Australian University Scholarships are highly competitive awards that shall be offered to successful overseas applicants who have achieved at an excellent level in their final years of schooling before applying for tertiary studies for the first time.

Bachelor’s Degree Programme in any field of study offered at the University

Scholarship value/inclusions:

Eligibility:
The Scholarship shall be available for an applicant
who:
• is defined as an overseas student under the terms of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act
2000 (dependents of the staff of diplomatic or consular missions are also eligible);
• has not commenced any further education after completing their secondary studies, unless required
by the University for the purposes of admission;
• is applying for admission into tertiary study for the first time, unless required by the University for the
purposes of admission;
• has achieved at an excellent level in their final years of schooling, demonstrated by excellent
results in their secondary studies qualification; and
• has applied, and received an unconditional offer for admission to the Australian National University
by the date advertised on the University website.

Only students receiving a score equivalent to an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 99.60 or above will be considered for this
scholarship.

Application instructions:
Eligible applicants applying for admission directly to the University or through UAC will automatically be
considered. Students will not need to submit a separate scholarship application form to be considered for the scholarship. In order to be
considered for a scholarship, students will need to have received an unconditional letter of offer by 29
June 2015 for Semester 2, 2015.

Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship 2015

Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s
International Scholarship provides a partial tuition fee scholarship for outstanding students to study an
undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Macquarie University North Ryde campus.

Field of study:
Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in priority areas: Engineering, Environment, Human Science, Media, Linguistics, and Education.

Scholarship value/inclusions:
The amount is varied up to AUD$10,000 and will be applied towards your tuition fee. It is not renewable.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
• Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
• Have met the University’s academic and English requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (must hold a FULL OFFER of admission for North Ryde by the application deadline).
• Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for Postgraduate applications and minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for Undergraduate applications.

University of Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS) is awarded to international students wishing to undertake graduate research degree studies at the University of Melbourne.

• be an international applicant (ie. a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, and not
an Australian permanent resident);

• have applied for admission to undertake a master or doctorate by research degree or be currently
enrolled in a research degree at the University of Melbourne

Applicants who have already commenced or will commence their intended programme prior to 2016

DAAD Scholarships Germany 2015

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides scholarships in Germany for international students for a range of postgraduate courses at
German Universities which aim at providing academically educated young professionals from developing countries with further specialized studies.

The scholarship are towards eligible development-related courses.

Target group:
International students from developing countries (on the DAC List of the OECD)

Scholarship value/inclusions:
Full and partial DAAD scholarships are available.

Eligibility:
• Works either for a public authority or a state or private company in a developing country and, as such, is engaged in the planning and execution of directives and projects with emphasis on development policies having a bearing on technological, economic or social areas
• Holds a Bachelor’s degree (normally four years) in a related subject.
• Has completed an academic degree with far above average results (upper third) and at least two years of
related professional experience
• His/her academic degrees should normally not be more than six years old
• For courses in German: DSH 2 or TestDaF 4; at time of application German skills at completed level A2
are required. In addition, German language courses at level A2 or B1 are highly recommended
• For courses in English: IELTS (Band 6) certificate or TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper based, 213 computer based, 80 internet based).

Mexican Government Scholarships 2015

The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) invites foreign citizens who are interested in studying for a specialization, master’s degree or doctorate, conducting graduate or
postdoctoral research, or taking part in an undergraduate or graduate-level academic mobility program, to participate in the 2016 Mexican
Government Scholarship Program for International Students.

Scholarships are not granted for direct Ph.D. programs (combined M.A. and Ph.D. programs), distance learning programs, open or online education.

Host Institution/Eligible Programs:
The eligible institutions and academic programs are included Here . The following academic
programs are NOT eligible for scholarships: business administration, plastic surgery, accounting, marketing, dentistry and advertising, and related
areas.

The scholarships are offered to students from these countries.
Scholarship value/inclusions:
The scholarship includes monthly stipend, registration fees and tuition, health insurance, round-trip international airfare, and transportation to and from Mexico City.
